What are you up to these days? Have you graduated? Are you working? How did your experience in Barcelona have an impact on your life?

I feel Barcelona impacted me in so many ways – most notably, the way I look back at my home country as now I feel more motivated to explore the local area where I live. I now see less “imaginary barriers” that I used to think prevented me from reaching my goals. Let me explain…before, I used to have ideas, but I ended up forgetting about it or thinking they were out of reach. Now, I see those same ideas as real possibilities, and just need patience, organization and discipline.

Finding Myself

Explain why you chose those words.

It had always been difficult for me to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. Now, I have a more specific goal and direction that I would like my life to go in.

What was your favorite place to eat in Barcelona? Favorite food?

The best place to eat is near the beach, in the neighborhood in which I lived (El Raval). My favorite food was pinchos in San Sebastian…but while in Barcelona, I loved the tapas! 

What was your favorite tour, day trip, or cultural activity? Why?

Basque Country! I loved traveling to see Northern Spain – make sure to try pinchos and learn about the history of the region!

What is one piece of advice that you have for future students coming to Barcelona?

Explore! Don’t stay at home. Try to get out of your comfort zone, because Barcelona is the place to do it. Walk everywhere, as there’s always something new to see and discover.

Why was Barcelona SAE the right program for you?

Barcelona SAE was the perfect program for me because of the great combination of onsite support, attention, and company. They always had very well planned activities and made sure we were all okay.
