What are you up to these days? Have you graduated? Are you working? How did your experience in Barcelona have an impact on your life?
I have been on a journey since day 1 in my life to find out who I am and any purpose this life may serve. Traveling the world is the best way to discover the true nature of humanity, mine and others. In Barcelona, the culture is strong, the people are short and the sun shines just as bright as it does everywhere. Living abroad has shown me who I am, given me a start as to how I want to finish my life and also a beginning to the rest of my life. Love the life you live because you only get one, I know I certainly am.
What was your favorite place to eat in Barcelona? Favorite food?
There is a restaurant called Lizarran and I ate there more than any other place. Perhaps it was the convenient location or the super bomb food I’m not sure. The owner/boss man was kind and generous, remembered my name an knew what I wanted every time I came in.
What was your favorite tour, day trip, or cultural activity? Why?
The trip to the Basque country was my favorite trip. The history is richer than any other place in Europe.
If you had one perfect day in Barcelona where would you go, and what would you do?
I would spend my morning at the beach, midday on a run and my night dancing the world and all its problems away.
What was something you were surprised to learn about Barcelona or Spain? Or what aspect of the country or city were you least expecting?
I was really surprised at the Catalan influence and how strongly people feel about independence. Also, sleep cycles are not a thing here and sleep has become my most precious commodity.
What is one piece of advice that you have for future students coming to Barcelona?
Be ready for the time of your life!
