What are you up to these days? Have you graduated? Are you working? How did your experience in Barcelona have an impact on your life?
I just completed my first year at college, so have yet to get a job or internship yet. I decided now was the perfect time to study abroad since I have a free summer and may not in the future.
If you were to sum up your Barcelona experience in one to two words, what would you say? My Barcelona Experience is…
Leaving my comfort zone.
Explain why you chose those words.
I came to Barcelona alone, knowing nobody in the program, and having never been to Europe before, so this was a very different experience for me.
What was your favorite place to eat in Barcelona? Favorite food?
La Boqueria market! There are so many amazing foods to try.
What was your favorite tour, day trip, or cultural activity? Why?
My favorite trip was definitely to Costa Brava; the whole thing was a dream. AMAZING hotel with a great dinner, cool tours, lots to do, a beautiful beach, and overall a wonderful experience.
What was something you were surprised to learn about Barcelona or Spain? Or what aspect of the country or city were you least expecting?
The culture in Barcelona really is different than other areas in Spain. I went to Madrid one weekend and instantly noticed differences, and I didn’t expect Barcelona to be so different.
