Sensi Aguilar Solano

Director of Academics

Currently based in Barcelona, Sensi (she/her/ella) grew up in Córdoba (in the south of Spain) before studying Translation and Interpreting with English, German and Russian at the Universidad de Granada. As a result of her experience as an Erasmus student at the University of Sheffield, she then moved to the United Kingdom to teach Spanish and continue with her graduate studies. She completed an MA in Intercultural Communication at the University of Sheffield and a PhD in Translation and Intercultural Studies at the University of Manchester. She has worked as a professor of Spanish language and Translation Studies at the University of Sheffield, the University of Manchester, the University of Exeter, the University of Leeds, the University of Chicago, the University of Massachusets Boston and the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. She has presented and published her research internationally.
