What are you up to these days? Have you graduated? Are you working? How did your experience in Barcelona have an impact on your life?
My experience in Barcelona would not be as amazing if it weren’t for the wonderful staff and organizations provided at BIC. Upon my return home I will be working again and getting back into my daily routine. My study abroad experiences will stick with me forever, I am excited to tell friends and family stories from Spain and plan to travel more in the future.
If you were to sum up your Barcelona experience in one to two words, what would you say? My Barcelona Experience is…
Eye Opener
Explain why you chose those words.
My eyes were opened to the different culture, causing me to reflect upon my own and be grateful as well as change my mindset and motivation positively towards life.
What was your favorite place to eat in Barcelona? Favorite food?
My favorite place to eat in Barcelona was Brunch & Cake. My favorite food to eat was baguette with toasted brie.
What was your favorite tour, day trip, or cultural activity? Why?
My favorite cultural activity was attending the flamenco dance concert at Jamboree. I loved it because it was full of emotion and moved me in a therapeutic way.
Is there a site in Barcelona that you would recommend to future students that may be a little more “off the beaten path”?
I recommend for future students to explore the city and find a bunker overlooking the sunset. There are so many different ones and it is a wonderful adventure.
If you had one perfect day in Barcelona where would you go, and what would you do?
I would hike up Montjuic and spend an entire day up there. There is so much to see and do on the mountain and there are many different areas all very beautiful.
