If you were to sum up your Barcelona experience in one to two words, what would you say? My Barcelona Experience is…
learning experience.
Explain why you chose those words.
I have learned not only about myself but about the world. It has made me really think about what I want to do, where I want to be, and who I want to be.
What was your favorite place to eat in Barcelona? Favorite food?
My favorite place to eat in Barcelona were the local cafeterias. I love tapas my favorite are pan con tomate, croquettes and olives. My favorite day trip was the Dali Museum, and the Barrio Tours. I got to learn so much, they were well organized, and the staff and other students and I really established a bond.
What was your favorite tour, day trip, or cultural activity? Why?
My favorite day trip was the Dali Museum, and the Barrio Tours. I got to learn so much, they were well organized, and the staff and other students and I really established a bond.
What was your housing experience like? Did you live in an apartment with other students? A homestay with a local family? A residence hall on your Barcelona campus?
I lived in an apartment with four other students. It was a great experience. I always had someone their with me to go out, and the apartment was well kept with a cleaning service, and on-hand handy man. I recommend a apartment all the way!
Is there a site in Barcelona that you would recommend to future students that may be a little more “off the beaten path”?
I recommend just getting lost in the Gothic Quarter. You will really find hidden gems. I also highly recommend Poble Sec!
If you had one perfect day in Barcelona where would you go, and what would you do?
My perfect day in Barcelona would be getting coffee near my apartment, going to the beach in Barceloneta for a quick tan, eat tapas, and end the day with a cold drink in the Gothic Quarter while listening to outside music.
What was something you were surprised to learn about Barcelona or Spain? Or what aspect of the country or city were you least expecting?
I surprised to learn that the language Catalan really is very different than Spanish. I was also not expecting Barcelona to be so advance. he city really is beautiful and full of opportunities.
What is one piece of advice that you have for future students coming to Barcelona?
Do it, do not think about it and visit Barcelona. It will be the best decision of your life. Period.
Why was Barcelona SAE the right program for you?
SAE was the perfect program for me because this knew what I wanted, and treated me with respect and gave all students and interns what they deserve, a learning experience that’s memorable!
