Lebanese - Leana's

Perhaps a secret find, Leana’s Snack and Restaurant brings you right into the heart of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. With its fresh shawarma and welcoming staff, this will undoubtedly be the best wrap you can find in the city of Barcelona, and for a great price as well. You can’t go wrong with a beef shawarma or kafta wrap for lunch! Start by sampling traditional mezze plates and don’t forget to treat yourself to baklava for dessert while enjoying the fresh air on the corner of Carrer de la Marina and Carrer d’Ausiás Marc. Don’t miss out on Leana’s authentic Lebanese dining experience right in the heart of Barcelona.

Nepalese - Sagun Restaurant

Although Spanish food is delicious, it can be bland to those who are used to spice. Try Sagun, an Indian/Nepalese restaurant, to satisfy your spice cravings! Order from the Menu Especial and you can try many of this restaurant’s tastes for only 16 euros. We asked our friendly server what he recommends and ended up falling in love with the pollo korma. Bonus points for large portions that we took home for a midnight snack. (The photos below are from The Fork).

Mexican - Rosa Negra

Does all that Spanish make you crave tacos? You’re not alone! Rosa Negra is a great chain of Mexican-style restaurants across Barcelona. With unique interior design and tasty menu items, this is a great place to go for a bite and a drink with friends! (The photos below are from TripAdvisor).

Italian - Il Palato

Treat your taste buds to an Italian dinner with Il Palato’s custom charcuterie boards and superb focaccias. This amazing food comes from a small restaurant in the heart of El Clot, a great neighborhood to stroll through. Ask your server for recommendations on wine pairings to go with your lovely bites! (The photos below are from the Il Palato blog).

Peruvian - INKA

From the moment you step inside this Peruvian gem, the rich aromas of spices and fresh ingredients transport you to the streets of Lima. Indulge in classic dishes like ceviche, lomo saltado, and causa limeña, each prepared with the perfect blend of traditional techniques and modern flair. Inka’s warm atmosphere and flavorful dishes make it a must-visit for anyone craving the unique and delicious flavors of Peru. (The photos below are from Inka's Facebook page).

Hopefully some of these restaurants sound as appetizing as they look. My challenge for you: choose one or two to try in Barcelona. Take your taste buds on a trip to different countries during your semester abroad!
