Meet Sebastián Kramm, Barcelona SAE’s Student Advising & Enrollment Coordinator. Sebastian joined the team in September 2023 and looks forward to working with our students!
Tell us a little about your background.
I was born in southern Chile, where you can see green all around. When I was 20, I moved to Argentina and I went to college in Buenos Aires (graduating as a History teacher), so I technically studied abroad in that I went to college in another country. In the end, I lived in Buenos Aires for over 12 years, 6 of which I worked at a study abroad company. In 2022 I moved to Philadelphia and I started a new life journey.
Any hobbies or fun facts about you?
In my free time I love to travel, hike, go camping and watch films. I love data analytics as well, and I’m continuously learning new programming and analytics tools. I’ve also been learning German since 2018, so I’m currently an upper intermediate speaker.
Tell us about your role at Barcelona SAE.
As Barcelona SAE’s Student Advisor and Enrollment Coordinator, I help students navigate the whole enrollment process when they embark on their study abroad experience. Studying in another country implies a considerable amount of paperwork and documentation, therefore a constant and open communication with our students and university partners is mandatory to a successful enrollment in our program.
What do you love most about your job?
I most enjoy interacting with students and helping them to get started on their journey of the unique, life changing experience of studying abroad. I have a strong connection to the city of Barcelona and I also love that Barcelona SAE’s team is built of amazing individuals with a great sense of team spirit. I hope to become a valuable member of the team and to support as many students as possible in their study abroad journeys.
Why do you think students should choose Barcelona SAE for their study or intern abroad experience?
The city of Barcelona provides an incredible opportunity for students to embark on a deep dive into Spanish and European culture, while they also enjoy the benefits of a cosmopolitan city that attracts people from all around the world. In such a thriving city, with so many activities and opportunities, to have the support from a study abroad program specialized in the student experience in Barcelona is a unique opportunity that allows students to enjoy the city to the fullest.
