This summer, Barcelona SAE decided to offer internships to our alumni. We’re calling them The Best of the Best, or BOBs. We’d like to introduce the lucky alumni that will be working on-site in Barcelona with us this summer!
My name is Liz Exo, and I’m currently attending Illinois Wesleyan University. I am studying Elementary Education and Hispanic Studies as a double major, and I studied abroad in Barcelona from January 2011 until the end of April 2011.
What I liked the most about Barcelona was the unique atmosphere…when you’re in Barcelona, you know it. The architecture is great, the fashion is funky and really different, and there’s just a great vibe to the city.
In my free time, I like to journal, run, and read. I also like to spend my time working with children; I love volunteering at local elementary schools, and I also teach Spanish as an after-school program at an elementary school nearby.
Lauren Haynes was born in Colorado Springs CO, and after moving a number of times growing up has lived in Fort Collins for the last eleven years. She recently graduated from Colorado State University with a B.A. in Spanish and International Studies. During the summer of 2010 she studied abroad with Barcelona SAE and fell in love with city and the field of study abroad. In her spare time she loves to read, be outdoors, and spend time with her friends and family. She has been working for Barcelona SAE since January 2011, and has enjoyed preparing students for their adventure of a lifetime!
