Getting Used to Things - Barcelona SAE Blog

Today I reached a new level of success…I made it to work without a map (!!!) and my roommate and I rode the metro without needing our Handy-Dandy Guide!

My internship is going very well, made some friends and turned in my first assignment. We agreed that they would help me with my Spanish and I in return will help them with English – a nice trade if you ask me. The time adjustment is slowly but surely happening, I’m not as sleepy during the day and I’ve even gotten used to eating at different times. Something small for breakfast (granola bar, piece of fruit, yogurt) at9 AM, a snack (fruit, small bocadillo/sandwich, something from vending machine) at 11:00am, Lunch at 2:00pm, and Dinner around 8:00 or 9:00pm with snacks in between if you like. It’s not too different than the US, but my stomach wasn’t always happy about it.

My roommate (Sarah) and I went to the movies – Lauren Universitat to see El Gran Gatsby. Although I only understood 40-50% of what they were saying, it was still a great movie…and Leonardo DiCaprio isn’t too bad too look at either. 😉

El Gran Gatsby es muy bueno hasta en español.
