A Month in Barcelona

While studying in Barcelona, I encountered many beautiful things, sights, and experiences. I saw a genuinely humongous and stunning synagogue, which I looked forward to seeing during my time here, as Jewish history is significant to me. I also enjoyed my time in Girona, where I got to explore the old Jewish quarter referred to as El Call.

Not only did I relish the beautiful sights, but I also went to a once-in-a-lifetime concert with a friend of mine whom I met through the program. Seeing Olivia Rodrigo live in concert in Barcelona will be something I think and talk about for the remainder of my life.

While at first I struggled to adjust to all the new experiences, I'm glad I didn't shy away from all the beautiful memories I've made despite my initial fears. With unforgettable friendships forged, I'm truly grateful for the month I've had here in Barcelona. Whether it was watching the Catalan human towers (called castells) or going to a concert, aquarium, or zoo, I can undoubtedly say that this has been one of the most incredible months of my life. While I am excited to return home to my dry climate (Barcelona is very humid in the summer!), I hope never to lose the connections I've made and the growth I have seen in myself.
