Miko McFarland

Director of University Relations

Currently based in Kentucky, Miko (she/her) is originally from Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and a master’s degree in International Affairs & Administration. Not only was Miko the first in her family to complete her college degree, she was also the first in her family to study abroad. From being an exchange student to conducting research to interning abroad, Miko seized every opportunity to pursue a global education and couldn’t imagine a more important professional calling. For over 12 years, Miko worked in the university setting, from teaching in the classroom, to study abroad advising to directing a large study abroad office. She plays an active role in the field and regularly contributes to best practices in education abroad leadership, faculty-led programming, financial management and international risk management. In her free time, Miko is pursuing her other loves, being a mom and riding her horses.
